Not only did I do stuff* but I also cooked a fabulous dinner!
It's been like what, a week? since we've got digital television, and that means awesome cooking channel hey-yeah! this girl watches daily.
And in this one (1, uno, o, una) week I've picked up a tip that will change my cooking habits and my life forever.
You ready?
A bit of background

you ready bitches**???
bell [?]. pepper.
...thing is:
1) the dude said blah blah blah
2) I did blah blyh bloh
Seriously now: healthily cooked meat is quite tasteless.
I'm sorry, I've tried everything (spices, marinate, slow cooking...) but it really is tasteless.
I really think it's because: if it's good (as in tasty), it must be bad.
>>>I mean, folklore is there for something dudes, guys, girls...it is there because it could be (50%) true or it could be (50%) false. AmIRite? OFC I am!1!!! <<< bullshit alert!
So I'll spare you the details: the dude made some fish with bell pepper sauce and vegetables.
I did someother fish with roasted kapia sauce and vegetables.
The secret is in the sauce. Because sauce is good/tasty. And healthily cooked meat is bad/bland. And sauce really makes a difference, yes it does.
You see, sauce is what English people usually call gravy and gravy is what we usually get from processing meat (or vegetables, but usually meat, trust me on this one) and the processed thing is further-ly processed.
This can not be good/healthy can it? Nope, it is not. What we want is the go-oo-ooo-oooo-od gravy!
And good gravy is what we get from as-little-as-possible-processed vegetables.
You could put that one sentence up as your kitchen creed folks. 'cause it's true.
And the dude mashed the processed (boiled) vegetables (bell peppers) with salt and olive oil until he got a sauce-like paste.
I, I, I, on the other hand, mashed roasted kapia peppers with salt and olive oil (hey, that is what is available in winter!) until I got a sauce-like paste.
And it's good, oh.so.good!
I made it with (you writing/bookmarking this?) baked salmon, caramelised onions and capers.
Yes. a moment of silence please.
It's simple, but such a tasty spin-off of a simple recipe. And by sautéing the vegetables you get such a great ..hmm, how should I put it?...kick? surprise? dude, guys, girls..I don't know...but vegetables (carrot and parsnip I used, only carrot did he) a bit crunchy, undercooked and then sautéed , mmm..a wonder!
Do try. Do ask for directions if needed. Do leave feedback.
Bon Appétit & good night babes!
